Metro Dentalcare in St. Paul, MN is seeking a licensed Dental Assistant to join our team.

More about the role

1. Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
2. Review patient health histories to ensure quality care.
3. Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
4. Assist dentists chairside during procedures in accordance with state dental practice act.
5. Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
6. Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
7. Manage supplies and inventory, including placing orders as needed.
8. Collaborate with team members to implement systems and improve workflow.

About Metro Dentalcare

Metro Dentalcare St. Paul Midway is a community-focused practice supporting a collaborative team environment.

• Join a team of 18 professionals committed to communication and community engagement.
• Salary range: $31-$35/hour.
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Dental assistant and x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to protect patient information and complete HIPAA training.
• Valid Minnesota dental assisting license or in the process of obtaining one.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a dental setting.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
• Dental assisting certification from a recognized program.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
• Prolonged sitting and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Availability for periodic training sessions.
• Completion of TB testing prior to employment, as required.
