Salary: Hiring $27,616; Min $28,995; Max $41,423. GRADE 59

Duties

Assist the dentist chair side during patient care; perform dental procedures as assigned by the dentist; perform coronal polishing; provide oral hygiene instructions; apply topical fluoride; process and mount dental radiographs; perform asepsis procedures as per OSHA guidelines; document in patient electronic dental records; maintenance and care of dental equipment and instruments; secure dental equipment and supplies in preparation for a move of the mobile dental clinic; follow daily, weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly and yearly infection control and equipment maintenance protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum Training and Experience: Graduation from an approved dental assistant course; or graduation from high school and one year of on the job training as a dental assistant; and required x-ray training when needed.
