More about the role

1. Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, as well as sustain patient comfort and provide appropriate education throughout treatment
2. Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care
3. Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
4. Provide superior chairside assistance (i.e., four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act
5. Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
6. Prepare treatment room with strict adherence to safety protocols and following OSHA & CDC recommendations
7. Manage supply and inventory levels, as well as place and expedite orders as needed
8. Partner with the providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow

About Whittaker Road Dental

Whittaker Road, like each Heartland Dental supported office, is unique to the community and the patients they serve.

1. Join a 14-person team that thrives on collaboration, communication, and community
2. Monday 8:30-6:30, Tuesday 8:15-6:15, Wednesday 8:30-6:30, Thursday 8:30-6:30
3. 1 Year DA experience required

Minimum Qualifications

1. Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
2. Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
3. Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by the state dental practice act
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills
5. Ability to access minimum PHI necessary for job functions; regular HIPAA training required; must protect PHI and maintain data safeguards

Preferred Experience

1. 1+ years of experience in a dental setting
2. Dentrix or other dental software experience
3. Dental assisting school certification

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
2. Prolonged sitting and standing
3. Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
4. Availability for periodic virtual or in-person training sessions
5. TB test required prior to employment, arranged during pre-employment; not applicable in FL & TN
