Schedule: Fridays 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Thorn Run Dental Care is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

More about the role

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures in accordance with state dental practice acts
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols, OSHA & CDC guidelines
• Manage supplies and inventory, including placing orders as needed
• Collaborate with team members to implement systems and maximize workflow

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards, with regular HIPAA training

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years of dental experience
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software
• Dental assisting certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations
• Prolonged sitting and standing
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
• Availability for periodic training sessions
• TB test prior to employment, arranged during pre-employment (not required in FL & TN)
