Duties & Responsibilities:
As a key member of our clinical team, your role will focus on delivering exceptional patient experience while supporting the dentist and team in all aspects of care. Responsibilities include:
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Provide superior chairside assistance during exams, fillings, crowns, implants, and extractions
- Prepare patients and treatment areas, ensuring comfort and confidence
- Take and process dental X-rays (X-ray certification required)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, procedures, and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and medical histories
Sterilization & Infection Control
- Sterilize and organize instruments following infection control protocols
- Prepare and clean operatories between patients
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards
Patient Experience & Administrative Support
- Greet and reassure patients, especially those with dental anxiety
- Help manage patient flow to minimize wait times and maintain schedule efficiency
Team Collaboration
- Communicate clearly with the dentist, hygienist, and front desk team
- Support your teammates with flexibility, positivity, and professionalism
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Dental Assistant certification preferred)
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization protocols
- Dental X-ray certification
- CPR certification
- Practice management software knowledge, Eaglesoft preferred
