Responsibilities



  • Prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist and/or dental hygienist during treatment.

  • Prepare materials and equipment for treatment and have them ready for the dentist’s use.

  • Take x-rays and assist the dentist in laboratory work.

  • Assist in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date dental records for each clinic patient.

  • May perform other related work including, but not limited to, making appointments, answering the phone, ordering supplies, and assisting with information needed for dental billing.



Qualifications



  • Must have graduated from a Dental Assistant Program.

  • One (1) year Dental Assistant experience highly preferred.

  • Must have a valid and current radiography license.

  • EMR proficient, and/or ability to learn EMR.

  • Current certification in CPR, or take on-site class within 30 days of employment.

  • Ability to work on a team in a challenging, fast paced environment.

  • Effective organizational, communication, writing and listening skills.

  • Must be sensitive to cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity.

  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

  • Shows initiative and ability to use sound judgement in absence of specific orders.

  • Must be well-organized, detail oriented and use time wisely.



Compensation & Benefits



  • $18.00/hour base pay

  • Part-time schedule (30 hrs) with no holidays - Occasional weekend
