We are seeking a Dental Assistant/Patient Coordinator who shares our passion for patient care, education, and creating a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide chair-side clinical support to Dentists and Hygienists, including charting, patient education, operatory set-up, and clean-up.
- Deliver a superior patient experience during all appointment phases.
- Take and process X-Rays.
- Enter patient treatment plans and maintain files.
- Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatories.
- Confirm patient appointments and update schedules.
- Collect and post payments from patients and insurance companies.
- Answer patient questions about insurance and financial arrangements.
- Gather patient information, create files, and verify insurance eligibility.
Qualifications
- Completion of a dental assisting program and certification as required by the State Dental Board.
- Radiology certification to comply with the State Dental Board.
- Dental assisting experience preferred.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of dental insurance and benefits explanation preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dental software, experience with Dentrix preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
