The health services that became the Anthony L Jordan Health Corporation (Jordan Health) began more than 100 years ago, in 1904. As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants of Rochester, NY and in Canandaigua, N.Y.

Jordan Health is now seeking a Dental Assistant Union who, under the guidance of the Dental Director, is primarily responsible for working as part of the Dental team and assisting the Dentist and Dental Hygienist in a variety of operative or surgical procedures and providing patient care.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure that patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment, building trust with the patient.
2. Increase the efficiency of the Dentist and the dental department in delivering quality oral health.
3. Support the Dentist and the dental department in achieving success in patient care.

Education and Experience Required:

1. Graduate of a recognized dental assistant school or any combination of experience and training sufficient to indicate ability to do the work.
2. Licensure is recommended but not required.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

1. Current Provider BLS/CPR through the American Heart Association.
2. Infection Control Certification.
