Naples Periodontist is seeking a full-time experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a fast-paced, busy office that values having fun while prioritizing patient care.

Requirements:

• At least 1+ year of dental assisting experience
• FL EFDA certification
• Experience assisting with periodontic procedures preferred
• Experience with Dentrix is a plus

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Fridays as needed for patient care, training, and staff meetings. Lunch is 30 minutes daily.

Role Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment
• Review patient health history for quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures according to state law
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols
• Manage supplies and inventory
• Collaborate with providers to implement systems and improve workflow

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Dental assistant and x-ray certification as required by law
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Understanding of HIPAA and data safeguards

Preferred Experience:

• Over 1 year of dental experience
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software
• Dental assisting certification

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations
• Prolonged sitting and standing
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
• Availability for periodic training
• TB test required prior to employment (not in FL & TN)
