Dental Assistant

Location: Sandston, Virginia

Pay From: $18 per hour

Must Have:

• Experience as a Dental Assistant in Oral Surgery (1+ years)
• Experience working with EMR systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Active BLS certification
• Experience working with IV sedation (preferred)
• Virginia X-ray certification (highly preferred)
• Familiarity with extractions (preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, charting, and filing
• Prepare patient charts, record treatment plans, and update dental records
• Operate X-ray and 3D scanning equipment, develop radiographs
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and materials following infection control protocols
• Assist the surgeon during procedures, including setup, anesthesia, and cleanup
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs
• Provide oral health care information and postoperative guidance to patients
• Manage stock of surgical supplies and medications
• Maintain instruments and equipment
• Deliver excellent patient care
