Panhandle Pediatric Dentistry is hiring: Dental Assistant in Santa Rosa Beach

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1–2 years of dental assisting experience, enjoy working with children, and be eager to contribute to a positive and supportive team culture. Hourly rate up to $30, based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pediatric dentist during exams and procedures
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Chart patient notes accurately and efficiently
• Educate children and parents on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
• Maintain dental supply inventory and order as needed
• Create a calm, engaging atmosphere for pediatric patients

Must have's to be successful

• 1–2 years minimum experience as a Dental Assistant (Required)
• Prior experience in a pediatric dental office is strongly preferred
• Ability to prioritize, organize and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient-focused attitude
• Ability to work well with children and as part of a collaborative team
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or its equivalent (required).
• Dental Certification: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certificate, OR Graduate from a formal accredited dental assisting school in accordance with Florida Administrative Code Rule: 64B5-16.002
• Must have reliable transportation and valid license
