Overview: Busy, privately owned dental office is seeking an energetic and knowledgeable Full-time Dental Assistant at our Tarpon Springs location. Our company features 12 locations with significant opportunities for internal growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in making temps. Dentrix experience is required. We look forward to having you join our team!

Hours: Mon-Thurs 8AM - 5PM and Fridays 8AM - 4PM.

Responsibilities:

• Provide superior chair-side clinical support to Doctors and Hygienists, including charting, patient education, and operatory set-up and clean-up.
• Manage patient flow, respond to changes, prioritize operatory rooms, and update Doctors on patient status.
• Greet patients in the reception area and introduce yourself professionally.
• Take and process X-Rays.
• Perform patient hand-offs.
• Enter and update patient treatment plans as directed by the Doctor using the company's operational system.
• Verify patient service needs and take appropriate actions if expectations are not met.
• Escort patients to check-out.
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory.
• Monitor laboratory cases and ensure readiness for the next day's schedule.
• Maintain emergency supplies, medications, and oxygen tank.
• Follow maintenance schedules for equipment.
• Report and follow up on maintenance issues.
• Maintain MSDS binder and ensure OSHA and safety compliance, including HIPAA, CPR, and X-ray certifications.
• Update annual CE requirements per state regulations.
• Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• State-specific requirements as applicable.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, talk, and operate computer systems.
