Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
• Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment
• Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Provide patients with follow-up instructions after treatments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant Certificate as per state regulations
• X-ray certification as per state regulations

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

This clinical environment may involve exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens. Requires prolonged standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours daily. Must be able to lift 15 pounds and transport tools and equipment.
