Qualifications: High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) diploma and education and/or experience in mechanic work that is directly related to the job.
Requirements:
- Must be able to bend, push, pull, lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must have a current driver's license with a clean driving record.
- A CDL is a plus but not required
- Must be able to operate power tools and lawn equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all WCPS vehicles
- Repair lawn equipment - riding mowers, tractors, push mowers, weed eaters,
- Blowers, etc.
- Order materials and keep inventory for preventative maintenance
- Maintain a clean work environment
Illustrative Examples Of Work:
- Troubleshooting lawn mowers and vehicle issues
- Replaces faulty parts
- Repair vehicles throughout the county
- Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Ability to use power tools
- Ability to make repairs on lawn mowers
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
