Mechanic Job at Terra Vista Managment, Inc. in San Diego

Campland on the Bay is a full-service, destination RV and tent camping resort located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego. We seek a full-time (40 hours per week) mechanic to join our team. Shifts are 8 hours.

Job responsibilities include repairing the resort’s heavy equipment, automotive machinery and EZ-GO and Taylor Dunn golf carts as well as performing body work and painting this equipment, machinery and golf carts. To be successful, our mechanic will have a current professional certificate in welding, know how to perform jobs that include fiberglass and paint, and know how to operate heavy equipment and machinery. Our mechanic is also in charge of our automotive inventory, so good organization is a must. This position is always busy with repair jobs. The ability to communicate clearly with management and internal customers, manage time and prioritize effectively and stay focused on task is important for success.

Requires:

· Satisfactory attendance and minimal tardiness

· Experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment, EZ-GO/Taylor Dunn golf carts, cars and pickups and related bodywork and/or painting

· Experience scheduling and performing regular maintenance on resort vehicles and equipment

· Arc welding experience

· Oxygen settling torch experience

· Experience ordering parts and keeping track of parts inventory such that all parts are accounted for at all times, and replaced timely within budget

· Experience operating heavy equipment

· Time management and prioritizing

· Organization

· Communication

· Meeting deadlines

· Taking direction well

· Knowledge of mechanic shop equipment
