Job Description
Position Overview:
Our growing team is seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair both small and large gas and diesel engines. This role involves servicing a wide range of equipment, from handheld power tools and small utility engines to heavy trucks and large machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, hands-on mechanical expertise, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on gas and diesel-powered engines (small equipment and vehicles).
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues.
Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and tune-ups.
Repair or replace defective parts such as bearings, filters, hoses, and electrical components.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Operate hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and power tools safely and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Provide recommendations for equipment repair, replacement, or upgrades.
Support field service calls when needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school certification preferred).
3+ years of experience as a mechanic (gas and diesel engines, small and large equipment).
Strong knowledge of engine systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and fuel systems.
Proficient with diagnostic tools, repair manuals, and technical schematics.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various environments (indoor, outdoor, field).
Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Skills:
Welding and fabrication experience.
Familiarity with computerized diagnostic software.
Experience servicing landscaping, agricultural, or construction equipment.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday–Friday
