Mission
RATP Dev USA is seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our Yuma County Area Transit (YCATs) team. As a key member of the maintenance department, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining YCATs buses and transit vehicles to ensure safe and efficient service for the community.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on transit buses and company vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using testing equipment and technical manuals.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend vehicle life.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and service completed.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle issues.
- Assist with emergency road calls when vehicles experience breakdowns.
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a diesel, bus, or heavy-duty mechanic (transit experience a plus).
- Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, air conditioning, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must hold a valid driver's license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
