In this role, you'll work closely with Senior Mechanics to inspect, maintain, and repair components both in our shop and occasionally on-site at marine vessels or customer locations. What You'll Do
Core Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls of mechanical components.
- Support on-site service work as needed (marine vessels, customer facilities).
- Contribute to general shop operations: machining, assembly, inventory, receiving, and more.
- Follow technical manuals and service procedures.
- Maintain accurate daily service reports and document inspections and test results.
- Follow all company safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Immediately report any incidents, injuries, or safety hazards.
- Complete all mandatory annual safety training.
- Submit accurate timecards, expenses, and job-related reports.
- Maintain personal tool inventory and company-issued equipment.
- Keep certifications up to date in line with service progression.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship that reflects pride and professionalism.
- Represent the company positively and communicate clearly with customers.
- Resolve questions or concerns in a timely, respectful manner.
- Complete assignments on time and to standard.
- Follow company dress code and uphold a professional demeanor at all times.
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One or more of the following:
- Associate degree in a technical discipline
- 3+ years of military experience with relevant mechanical systems
- 3+ years of industry experience in related mechanical fields
- Working knowledge of diesel engines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and written/verbal communication in English
- Ability to manage time under pressure and work both independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Hands-on work with large rotating equipment in industrial environments (marine, gas compression, nuclear).
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. regularly and perform physical activities including standing, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
- Requires vision acuity including close, distance, color, and depth perception.
