Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth production operations through regular maintenance of equipment, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, machinery setup, and minor installation of production equipment. The role also involves conducting scheduled preventive maintenance to keep machines and equipment in optimal condition.

Responsibilities

• Follow all GMPs and relevant SOPs.
• Perform daily minor troubleshooting and repair of tableting, granulation, and compression machines and equipment.
• Maintain machine parts and ensure changeover tooling is in good condition.
• Provide general preventive maintenance to packaging machines and equipment as required.
• Fill required maintenance documentation accurately and timely, including Cleaning Logs, Parts Requisition Maintenance Report, Daily Quality Checks, and Part Requisition Sheets.
• Ensure all safety components/guarding from all packaging machines and equipment are operational and properly used.
• Increase productivity by completing maintenance, changeovers, and repair work efficiently.
• Maintain equipment and parts, determining inventory spare part levels.
• Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Show aptitude to advance to higher levels of troubleshooting.
• Operate machines like a drill press, vertical/horizontal band saw, and work with power tools.
• High school diploma/GED or Technical Degree.
• 5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic.
• Knowledge and adherence to GMPs.
• Understanding of Granulation, Compression, or Tablet Machines, and packaging machinery, specifically bottle, pouch, cartoning, thermoform, and cold form blisters.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Basic machine shop knowledge and ability to work well with tools.
• Familiarity with fabrication, maintenance repair, 3-phase motors, equipment maintenance, mechanical aptitude, and hydraulics.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
