Your number one priority as a Mechanic will be to service and repair products that are brought to the store for repair. The Mechanic promotes strong customer relations, a positive work environment and is also responsible for sourcing and ordering parts. Key Responsibilities

  • Source and order parts for customers.
  • Diagnose and repair small engines/equipment.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Northern Tool + Equipment's national and private label brands.
  • Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.

What you will bring to the table

  • 1+ years of experience repairing and maintaining small engines.
  • Ability to clearly explain the diagnosis and repair of the machine to the customer.
  • Ability to recognize and observe all safety and security procedures.
  • Desire to treat others with respect and contribute to building a positive team spirit.
  • Integrity and commitment to company values while operating a profitable service business.
  • Strong organizational skills and fluency with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of small engine theory (2- and 4-stroke): lubrication, cooling, ignition and fuel systems.
  • Certifications in major manufacturer brands like Honda, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, etc.
  • Master certification is a plus.
  • Extensive experience with electrical systems, pumps, hydraulic theory, and related diagnostic equipment and procedures.
