Eye Center of North Florida, formed in 1999, is a trusted eye care provider in the Florida panhandle. ECNF offers Lipiflow Dry Eye Treatment, Low Vision Rehabilitation, Optos Retinal Imaging, Macular Degeneration treatment, Genetic Testing (Macula Risk), Drop-less Cataract Surgery, Refractive procedures, cosmetic specialties, contact lenses, and optical services.

As a Call Center Representative, you will:

1. Serve as the first point of contact for patients, referring doctor offices, and pharmacies, providing high-quality service.
2. Answer calls, address inquiries, concerns, and requests professionally.
3. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments across ophthalmology specialties.
4. Verify patient information and gather medical details for comprehensive advisories.
5. Update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
6. Provide information about healthcare services, procedures, and insurance coverage.
7. Handle patient complaints and resolve issues satisfactorily.
8. Coordinate with external and internal medical professionals for seamless patient care.
9. Maintain physician schedules and document interactions properly.
10. Adhere to HIPAA confidentiality standards.
11. Participate in ongoing training on medical procedures and call center software.
12. Achieve call center performance metrics like call quality and patient satisfaction.
13. Handle high call volumes efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
14. Use multi-line phone systems for call processing and transfers.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; healthcare administration certification or associate's degree is a plus. Prior experience in call centers, healthcare, or ophthalmology is advantageous. Strong communication, empathy, familiarity with medical terminology, and proficiency with EHR systems are required.
