Responsibilities

The call center specialist is responsible for coordinating aspects of the admissions process. This includes handling inquiry calls efficiently and effectively, processing referrals for possible admission, and communicating with referral sources and customers who present for assessment. Additional responsibilities include insurance verification, patient registration, vitals, wanding, patient observations, scheduling of evaluations, admission processing, bed board monitoring, belongings searches, and other non-clinical duties as assigned by the admissions leadership team.

Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health or a related field preferred, or a LPN license.

Experience: A minimum of one year experience in human services, social services, psychiatric, mental health or call center settings, performing administrative duties including crisis intervention, telephone triage, and managing inquiry calls with a focus on customer service.

Knowledge: Ability to interface with customers in a calm, professional manner. Knowledge of crisis and behavior management. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask, navigate computer systems, and perform data entry. Experience with faxing and copying is preferred.

Work Environment: Indoor work with long periods of sitting, close proximity to people, and exposure to distracting noises.
