Job Summary

The Pharmacy Call Center Representative answers all incoming lines to the Call Center (phone, web chat, email, fax, text) for all outpatient pharmacy locations. Using directories and active listening, the Representative will accurately discern callers' needs and assist accordingly. The incumbent will utilize multiple information systems and interact with all outpatient pharmacy areas. They will handle complaints by gathering information and forwarding messages to the appropriate Associate Director of Pharmacy via email or phone. The role requires providing one-call resolution, demonstrating excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, and offering general information about outpatient pharmacy programs and services. The representative must maintain a professional tone, both spoken and written, and build rapport with callers from diverse backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's degree and two years of relevant healthcare or call center experience (preferably in a pharmacy, hospital, or medical call center), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 18 months of hire.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, conflict resolution, and computer skills.
• Ability to multitask.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare insurance prior authorization/coding and insurance carrier/managed care review.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. Holidays and weekends as needed based on operational requirements.
