Tank Cleaning Technician Job at Miller Integrated Solutions in Victoria

Primary Responsibilities And Key Deliverables

• Perform tank and vessel cleaning, including cleaning of the interiors of storage tanks to remove products or bottoms using shovels, squeegees, scrapers, or other means as required.
• Utilize different types of equipment during the tank cleaning process, which may include, but is not limited to, PSI washers, wash down hoses, suctions and discharge hoses, pumps, and high-pressure washers.

Required Skills And Competencies

• Must be dependable, willing to work additional hours as required, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings.
• Pass a Pulmonary Fit Test and wear proper respirator with no limitations.

Minimum Education And Experience

• Ability to understand and communicate in the English language.
• Acceptable MVR/Background Check and pass pre-employment screenings.
• Previous waste handling experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Valid TWIC Card.

Work Environment

• Tools, equipment, machinery used: Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
• Working conditions: Exposure to all weather conditions, work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft, work in confined spaces, and a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. Overtime and emergency callouts may be required. Work days, nights, and weekends. Travel to customer and other Miller sites as needed.
• Physical effort required: Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Capable of sitting, standing, walking, crawling, bending, squatting, and kneeling. Ability to climb towers, vessels, and tanks.
