Location: Yakima, WA
Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Wage Range: $18 - $30 per hour (DOE)
Work Schedule: Monday Thursday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM; Friday and afterhours as needed

Reports To: Mitigation and Cleaning Department Manager/Lead
Remote Work: Not available this is an on-site position.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Restoration/Contents Cleaning Technician to join our restoration team. This role involves handling, cleaning, and restoring personal property and contents that have been damaged by water, fire, smoke, or mold. Youll play a key part in helping clients recover their cherished belongings during difficult times, ensuring that each item is treated with care, respect, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Pack out and inventory customer contents from homes and businesses affected by damage.

Clean and restore personal property using industry-standard equipment and cleaning solutions.

Handle delicate, valuable, and sentimental items with extreme care.

Document and photograph all contents for tracking, insurance, and restoration purposes.

Assist in transporting contents to and from the warehouse or cleaning facility.

Maintain a clean, organized workspace in the contents cleaning area.

Perform deodorizing, ultrasonic cleaning, laundry/soft contents restoration, and other specialty cleaning tasks.

Work directly with customers and team members to ensure satisfaction and professionalism.

Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.

Support on-site teams as needed during pack-ins or property reconstruction phases.

Qualifications:

Experience in water, fire, or mold mitigation preferred (but we are willing to train the right candidate).

Previous experience in contents cleaning, restoration, or general cleaning preferred.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active role.

Excellent attention to detail, especially when handling fragile items.

Reliable transportation and valid drivers license preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Willingness to be on-call during emergencies, including evenings and weekends.

IICRC certifications (Contents, Fire & Smoke Restoration) a plus.

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (50+ lbs).

  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
