Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

The Cleaning Technician will support the facility by performing duties that insure compliance with all environmental, safety, and good manufacturing practices. Performing the duties properly will insure a clean facility and a professional appearance.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Insure plant floors are cleaned every workday through the use of a floor cleaning machine and mopping, which includes operating and maintaining the floor cleaning equipment, preparing cleaning solutions, and ensuring all areas are free of debris and spills to prevent slip hazards and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Perform comprehensive janitorial duties in restrooms, including cleaning and disinfecting toilets, urinals, countertops, and sinks, replenishing supplies like soap and paper towels, and mopping floors to ensure a hygienic and presentable environment for all users.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of breakroom's, which involves cleaning and sanitizing floors, tabletops, vending machines, countertops, and sinks, and ensuring the area remains tidy and free of food debris for employee comfort and health.
  • Pressure wash exterior surfaces, including paved surfaces (e.g., parking lots, walkways) and plant walls, to remove dirt, grime, and environmental buildup, contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal and longevity of the facility's exterior.
  • Paint surfaces inside and outside of the facility as assigned to maintain appearance and protect surfaces.
  • Regularly remove cobwebs throughout the facility, including high and hard-to-reach areas, to maintain a clean and professional appearance and prevent accumulation of dust and allergens.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies necessary for all duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall facility cleanliness, safety, and operational needs, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to maintaining the premises.

Skills and Abilities

  • Effective communication: Collaborate clearly with operators, helpers, and team members to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Math skills: Utilize basic math skills for tasks like interpreting production specifications
  • Quality control: Possess a keen eye for detail
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Safety compliance: Adherence to safety protocols for handling any chemical or cleaning solutions. Follow all safety and environmental compliance.
  • Physical abilities: Meet the physical demands of the role, including static pull strength of 84 lbs., push 60 lbs., lift 50 lbs.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and sanitation procedures for different surfaces and areas. Able to use various cleaning tools and supplies.

Experience and Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent of education
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing/office cleaning environment.
  • Previous cleaning, pressure washing or painting experience desired.
