Job Information: Family Counseling & Rehabilitation Center of Ohio - Social Worker in Marietta, Ohio

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

We are seeking a compassionate Social Worker to serve our communities by assisting clients affected by issues such as neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health, and parental substance abuse. Cases will be handled via phone or in person. Responsibilities include assessing clients, providing crisis intervention, and referring clients to other agencies and services.

Social Worker Responsibilities:

• Assist clients through telephone and in-person services
• Engage clients in beneficial activities
• Assess clients and gather relevant information
• Support clients and their families with information and guidance
• Make referrals to other agencies and services
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports
• Participate in training, supervision, and meetings
• Monitor for signs of child abuse
• Provide crisis intervention and ongoing counseling
• Supervise and train new clinical hires

Requirements:

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field
• Licenses in Ohio preferred or obtainable within 30 days of employment
• Experience with clients affected by neglect, abuse, domestic violence, mental health, and substance abuse
• Ability to attentively listen, understand, and ask questions appropriately
• Awareness of others' reactions and behavioral understanding
• Judgment skills for social service and healthcare actions
• Proficiency with computers and software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to remain calm and empathetic with upset clients
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker designation is a plus
• Ability to develop treatment plans and crisis intervention knowledge
• Valid driver’s license
