Overview
The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Case Manager in the 8th Judicial District, Genesee County Problem-Solving Courts. This position will assist with expanding and managing the requirements and resources of the court’s BRIDGE program and provide a supportive role in the implementation of problem-solving courts.
Responsibilities
- Provide case management and monitoring services including interviewing participants to determine needs for services.
- Refer participants to psychological or counseling services.
- Conduct psycho-social evaluations and prepare reports.
- Report participant compliance on programs and recommend incentives or sanctions.
- Make preliminary case recommendations to the court and determine progress.
- Implement and facilitate the problem-solving court’s orientation groups for new participants.
- Assist with, and conduct, toxicology screenings and scheduling of the same.
- Prepare clients for discharge to the community.
- Travel may be required.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee (CASAC-T) and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
