This role serves as the front line of support, assisting users with technical challenges, troubleshooting software and network issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include performing general maintenance and end user support tasks, as well as analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and peripheral equipment both on site and remotely. In addition, this role is responsible for managing on premises hardware and software along with cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and strong security.

A Sample of Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on and remote workstation support services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software applications and hardware
  • Repair, rebuild, and replace desktop and laptop systems
  • Support the VOIP phone system on premises and one remote phone system
  • Maintain system documentation and inventory
  • Maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies for both cloud and on-premises systems
  • Monitor system performance, install updates, and proactively resolve issues
  • Understand and support business-level software packages used across all departments

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum of two years supporting all aspects of IT needs)
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Active Directory
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows and Server operating systems
  • Understanding of computer networks, including setup and management of network equipment
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to efficiently document, track, and resolve technical issues
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
