Summary of Job Duties

IT Support Specialist II is responsible for a wide range of activities: Systems Administration - manage and maintain Active Directory users and computers, assign share permissions, administer Group Policy; provide user assistance such as troubleshooting user hardware, application, and network problems; provide local area network support such as install, configure & trouble shoot network client & server software and hardware. Determine needs and order appropriate computer hardware and accessories. Asset management record keeping and disposal of surplus equipment. Maintain, update, and assist users with VoIP phone system; Mobile device management - assist in ordering, upgrading, and configuring cellphones and tablets.

This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s degree or associates degree in computer science, mathematics, information systems or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least two years of experience in computer support and/or help desk experience
  • Valid Driver\'s License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience in computer support
  • Experience with Microsoft InTune
  • Experience with remote support software
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the limitations and use of computer hardware and software
  • Knowledge of current application software packages and programming concepts
  • Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and rectify software and hardware problems
  • Ability to analyze computer specifications and apply programming logic

Additional Information

Salary Information: $43,923 - $48,315; Commensurate with education and experience
