Marathon TS is seeking qualified and skilled individuals to join our Next Generation Enterprise Network team for the Navy and Marine Corps.
Position Overview:
The Systems Administrator – Mid-Level will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN, BAN, and WAN infrastructures across diverse platforms. This role provides Tier II support, develops operational support plans, and collaborates with project and support teams to ensure stable and secure enterprise network services. The candidate must be skilled in system performance analysis, security monitoring, and distributed network computing, with a strong grasp of enterprise-level service requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate operational designs and develop support plans for LAN, BAN, and WAN systems.
- Provide Tier II technical support and escalate issues as needed.
- Analyze customer business processes and recommend appropriate ES solutions.
- Assist project teams in implementing new or upgraded systems; coordinate efforts with support teams.
- Draft and execute implementation plans for system changes and upgrades.
- Participate in system design and performance evaluations.
- Monitor security and ensure integrity standards and controls are met.
- Evaluate, test, and recommend hardware/software/network configurations based on customer needs.
- Mentor junior staff on emerging technologies and best practices.
- Analyze usage and system data to identify trends and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Maintain and update site administration documentation.
- Stay informed on industry trends and recommend cost-effective enhancements.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in systems/network administration.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED (minimum).
Certifications (Required – must possess at least one of the following):
- Operating System (OS)/Application Certification
Ex: Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification.
- IAT Level II
