IT Desktop Support Technician
Location: Minot, ND
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Deskside Technician to join our IT support team. This role will be responsible for providing hands-on support for issuing and configuring laptops, cell phones, and
related technology for new employees, as well as ongoing deskside support for existing staff. The technician will play a critical role in ensuring employees have the tools they need to be productive from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provision, configure, and distribute laptops, mobile phones, and related peripherals to new employees.
• Perform deskside support including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Configure operating systems, applications, and security settings according to company standards.
• Provide end-user training and guidance to ensure smooth adoption of devices and technology tools.
• Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of assets, tickets, and support activities.
• Partner with IT leadership and remote support teams to escalate complex issues as needed.
• Travel between North Dakota locations to deliver in-person IT support services.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience providing IT deskside or field support services.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
• Proficiency in Windows and/or macOS environments, Microsoft 365, and common enterprise applications.
• Experience with computer imaging, device configuration, and mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a focus on supporting non-technical users.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across different office locations.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in an enterprise IT support environment.
• Familiarity with IT asset management tools and service ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
