About the RoleIT Support Specialist
The IT Support Specialist II is responsible for day-to-day IT operations and end user support functions. This position plays a key role in troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, working closely with all internal stakeholders, and assisting with infrastructure projects.
Position Logistics
- Primary Work Location: West Fargo, ND Corporate Headquarters
- Work Environment: On-Site
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | Standard Hours 8AM - 5PM
- Work Type: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Position Responsibilities
End User Support
- Provide comprehensive software and hardware technical support for end users in person or virtually.
- Set up, configure, and maintain workstations and user accounts to ensure optimal performance.
- Support software installations, updates, and patches across various platforms.
- Help maintain comprehensive documentation on IT systems, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Infrastructure & Network Support
- Assist in the administration of Windows servers, Active Directory, and the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Collaborate with senior administrators on infrastructure projects and system upgrades.
- Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and ensure timely replacement of hardware components.
- Monitor system performance and escalate complex issues to system administrators as needed.
- Perform regular backups and assist in disaster recovery efforts to ensure business continuity
- Support network troubleshooting activities, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN connectivity issues.
General Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Basic understanding of networking, Windows OS, and Active Directory
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of relevant IT experience required
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshservice, etc.) required
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration is preferred
Physical Environment
Office Staff
- This position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing office tasks and maintain proper posture and ergonomics to prevent discomfort or injury.
- This position requires manual dexterity and proficiency in using computer keyboards, mice, and other office equipment.
- This position must have the ability to handle and manipulate paperwork, files, and office supplies.
