Overview

Bonney Plumbing, Electrical, Heating and Air is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist & HR Technician to join our team. This role thrives at the intersection of technology and people operations, ensuring smooth IT support while contributing to HR processes that support our employees’ success.

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time In Person

Base pay range: $22.00/hr - $34.00/hr

Responsibilities

  • IT Support & Operations: Oversee and manage IT support operations, including ticket workflows, prioritization, SLA compliance, and escalations using the FreshService platform.
  • Provide end-user support across company applications, conferencing tools, and device setups.
  • Lead onboarding and offboarding processes; ensure readiness, compliance, and asset management.
  • Configure, maintain, and manage all company devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices); ensure accurate asset tracking in FreshService.
  • Document IT procedures and create knowledge base articles to promote efficiency and consistency.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, standards, and security protocols, including account provisioning, password resets, and access controls.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce recurring IT tasks.
  • Continuously evaluate IT support processes and recommend improvements.
  • Manage vendor relationships and assess technology solutions, including mobile device management platforms (IBM MaaS360), conferencing tools, and IT infrastructure.
  • Provide input to the IT Manager on infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and long-term technology strategies.
  • Support conference room setups and audio/visual solutions for meetings (Google Meet, Zoom, etc.).

HR & Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and HRIS records.
  • Assist with HR reporting, training programs, and employee events.
  • Partner with other teams on initiatives that improve efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Company.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant IT support experience in a professional environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications preferred.
  • End-user computing hardware (computers, tablets, mobile devices, printers, IP phones).
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for software and hardware issues.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
  • Microsoft Server Administration (Active Directory, Group Policy).
  • Mobile Device Management (MaaS360, Intune, Jamf Pro).
  • VOIP Phone Management (DialPad).
  • Antivirus installation and management.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
