We are looking for an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our organization's cybersecurity infrastructure while adhering to industry regulations and best practices. This position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the development and enforcement of security standards.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement advanced security systems, including firewalls, access controls, encryption protocols, and intrusion detection solutions.
• Maintain and update cybersecurity tools and systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Lead efforts to address security incidents, resolve vulnerabilities, and execute system-hardening initiatives.
• Develop and enforce comprehensive IT cybersecurity standards and practices to protect organizational data.
• Foster collaboration between IT teams, risk management, and third-party security partners for enhanced security measures.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training programs and demonstrate proficiency in areas such as the Bank Secrecy Act and other compliance standards.
• Contribute to organizational projects, strategic initiatives, and special assignments as needed.
• Support the organization's mission, vision, and core values by demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance, including punctuality, to meet organizational standards.• Associate’s degree in Cybersecurity is required; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in IT cybersecurity is required.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience as an IT Cybersecurity Engineer is required.
• At least 4 years of experience working in financial services, such as banking, credit unions, fintech, or annuities, is required.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and industry standards is required.
• Certified Information Systems Security Specialist (CISSP) certification is preferred.
• ITILv3 Foundation or higher certification is preferred.
• System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) and CompTIA Security+ certifications are preferred.
