Provide Technical Support: Serve as the first point of contact for faculty, staff, and students within the School of Medicine seeking technical assistance. Respond promptly to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and other IT-related matters. Respond promptly to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems related to hardware, software, network connectivity, AV equipment, and other IT-related matters.2. Serve as a point of contact for faculty, staff, and students within the School of Medicine seeking technical or AV assistance. Respond promptly to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems related to hardware, software, network connectivity, AV equipment, and other IT-related matters. Hardware, Software & AV Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain workstations, AV systems, classroom equipment, and other peripherals. Conduct regular maintenance, including system updates and AV checks, to ensure optimal performance and security.
3. ExamSoft Support: Provide technical support for ExamSoft, including setup, deployment, and troubleshooting during exams. Coordinate with faculty and students to ensure ExamSoft operates smoothly
4. Computer Lab Management: Oversee and maintain computer labs used by the School of Medicine. Ensure lab equipment is functioning properly, software is up to date, and the environment is optimized for student and faculty use. Monitor lab schedules and support testing events when needed
5. User Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training resources to educate users within the School of Medicine on AV system usage and IT best practices. Assist users with software applications and guide on resolving common issues
6. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to address complex issues. Effectively communicate with users to provide updates, gather details, and ensure high satisfaction levels
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Serve as an advanced technical resource providing IT support to faculty, staff, and students across campus. Diagnose and resolve IT and AV-related issues
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware, software, network, and system-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide advanced support for endpoint devices, operating systems, enterprise applications, and network connectivity.
- Assist with setting up, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Support classroom and conference room technology needs, including basic audiovisual (AV) equipment troubleshooting when required.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth escalation and resolution of high-level technical issues.
Computer Lab Management
- Oversee daily operations of computer labs within the School of Medicine
- Maintain lab hardware, software, and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Install and update software in alignment with academic requirements
- Prepare lab environments for classroom instruction, independent study, and high-stakes assessments
- Provide in-person technical assistance during lab sessions and exams as needed
User Training and Documentation
- Conducting training sessions for users on new technologies and systems.
- Creating and updating user manuals and technical documentation.
- Providing guidance on best practices for using IT resources.
Software and Hardware Installation
- Installing and configuring new hardware and software.
- Setting up and maintaining dental-specific applications and tools.
- Ensuring compatibility and integration with existing systems.
ExamSoft Support
- Provide technical assistance for ExamSoft software and exam sessions
- Coordinate exam-day setup and troubleshoot real-time issues
