Volunteers of America National Services is seeking an IT Support Tech to join our team. This position will service the Eden Prairie, MN Support Center Office.
Location: 7485 Office Ridge Cir, Eden Prairie, MN 55344
Schedule: M-F 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Fully onsite)
Hourly rate: $20.53-$26.06
About the Job
The IT Support Tech is an entry level position. The position will be responsible for providing timely support to our end users ensuring excellent customer service and resolution of all technical issues. IT Support Tech will monitor and respond to open items in our ticket tracking system to ensure requests are completed timely. In addition, the IT Support Tech will help with shipping, receiving, asset tagging, imaging and storing of the IT equipment inventory, maintaining appropriate records.

Essentials
IT Equipment
- Assists with IT equipment inventory management by maintaining accurate records and ensuring proper tracking.
- Work with IT Administrator End User Support to handle the shipping and receiving of equipment.
- Imaging and configuring desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment.
IT Helpdesk
- Responds to IT inquiries via phone, email, ticketing system, and in-person interactions.
- Troubleshoots hardware, software, and network issues both remotely and on-site.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assists with user account management, including password resets and access permissions.
- Supports ticket management by assigning and monitoring requests, collaborating with technicians to ensure prompt resolution and end-user satisfaction; escalates issues as needed to IT Administrator, End User Support, or CITO.
- Collaborates closely with the IT team to foster a cooperative environment, resolve complex technical issues, and drive ongoing departmental improvement.
Required Qualifications
- AA/AS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field.
- Familiar with an Active Directory environment.
- Hands-on experience with help desk and remote access software beneficial
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Productivity Tools
- Customer service oriented with a problem-solving attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation
