Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Technician to join our Hoffman IT team. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, software, and hardware. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
- Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN troubleshooting.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, Entra ID, and other systems.
- Document and track support requests, resolutions, and follow-up actions in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices and IT policies.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.
- Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of proven experience as an IT Support Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with common software applications, including Microsoft Office365 Suite.
- Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
