Summary

The IT Support 2 position is a versatile role responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to end-users, managing helpdesk operations, and addressing complex systems administration tasks. This role ensures the efficient operation of IT systems and serves as the primary point of contact for technical issues within the organization.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary resource for helpdesk operations, resolving tickets related to hardware, software, and network issues
  • Provide timely and effective support to end-users, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain IT systems, including servers, network devices, and enterprise applications
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Support and maintain enterprise applications, ensuring system availability and performance
  • Collaborate with team members to implement IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations
  • Perform system administration tasks, such as user account management, backup monitoring, and security updates
  • Create and update technical documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring technical issues and recommend solutions
  • Ensure adherence to IT security best practices and compliance requirements

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Associate degree in IT or related field preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or related roles; network administration experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and enterprise applications
  • Cybersecurity experience preferred
  • Proven ability to manage helpdesk operations effectively
  • Experience with troubleshooting complex technical issues
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Working Environment: Office setting in Tempe, AZ
  • Physical Demands:
    • Sitting for extended periods; extensive keyboard use
    • Standing and walking as needed for in-person support or equipment movement
    • Lifting and carrying computer equipment up to 25 pounds
    • Reaching and handling of devices, cables, and IT equipment
    • Fine motor skills for connecting cables or replacing components
    • Visual acuity for reading screens and manuals
    • Bending, crouching, or kneeling to set up or troubleshoot equipment
  • Travel: None; optional opportunity to travel to other AGC Group sites worldwide
