Job Title: Lab IT Support
Duration: 06 months with possible extension
Office: Raritan, NJ 08869
Pay rate: $32/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
Supporting end client with all tech related enquiries and IT support.
Daily Responsibilities / Job Description
- Implement, monitor, and provide technical support of customer laboratory IT environments, typically integrated with instrumentation
- Implement customer specified benchtop computing design and processes
- Administer and assure connectivity of customer's Windows based platform
- Support of the operating system, desktop hardware and peripherals, instrument-controlled software, core desktop applications and imaging of computers
- Manage onboarding, retirement, and relocation of equipment
- Implement Windows based security, including user/group permissions, file/folder permissions, group policies, local security policies, etc.
- Analyze, identify, and implement enhancements, upgrades, and solutions to improve desktop platform support
- Ensure adherence to client's policies through reporting and compliance programs
- Act as the technical support contact for instrument vendors
- Repair and troubleshoot instrument-related computers and escalate issues as needed
- Support new system validations and change management efforts
- Create and maintain inventory of lab equipment, PCs, software, etc.
- Submit weekly reports to team lead
- Serve as client liaison for software/hardware inquiries
- Participate in team meetings
- Provide support across enterprise practices
- Act as technical expert for escalations and mentor junior team members
- Back up team leads as required
- Use office equipment/software appropriately after training
- Maintain training and compliance in health and safety, security, environmental, and operational areas

- Ability to troubleshoot complex network and PC issues

- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
- Self-motivated with good time management
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to follow documentation
- Ability to support various user groups

- Deskside IT/help desk troubleshooting experience
- Admin PC (Windows) experience
- Flexibility to work various shifts/days
