Position Overview: Nalu Federal is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance and Management Specialist to support the Training Support Department (N4) at NCTC Gulfport. This role involves overseeing the upkeep and operational readiness of all command-assigned facilities, coordinating with NAVFAC, NCBC Gulfport, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with DoD/DoN facilities management standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary facilities liaison to CSFE, NAVFAC, and NCBC Gulfport.
  • Initiate and track service/trouble calls and facility work requests through NAVFAC systems, including Maximo.
  • Coordinate small-scope self-help repair and construction projects; generate necessary documentation such as Customer Requests, Excavation Permits, and Utility Outages.
  • Plan and oversee routine facility maintenance tasks including minor repairs, landscaping, and custodial support.
  • Develop and manage Zone Inspection Programs, track discrepancies, and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Serve as Command Key Custodian; maintain key inventory, logs, and assign Key Sub-Custodians.
  • Monitor government and contract services such as custodial, HVAC, elevator maintenance, and groundskeeping.
  • Liaise with Base Communications Office for telecom support and upgrades.
  • Maintain real property data including facility codes, dimensions, and historical records via iNFADS.
  • Support Infrastructure Condition Assessment Program (ICAP) inspections with NCBC Gulfport PWD.
  • Coordinate energy conservation and environmental compliance initiatives with relevant PWD offices.
  • Maintain accurate Building Manager (BM) designations and Authorized Caller Lists for facilities coordination.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with military or federal facility management and coordination with NAVFAC/PWD.
  • Working knowledge of real property inventory systems (e.g., iNFADS, Maximo).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage inspections, reports, and facility records.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Understanding of DoD/DoN facility compliance, environmental, and energy requirements.

Physical Demands:

  • Occasional assistance with unskilled labor tasks and short-distance travel within the NCBC Gulfport area.
  • Must be able to perform light physical duties such as walking, lifting, or climbing when needed.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based with periodic work outside in various weather conditions and industrial environments.
