Position Scope:
As an IT Compliance Specialist at Anika Therapeutics, you will support our Security, Risk, and Compliance initiatives. Collaborating in a dynamic team environment, you will ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, internal audit, and industry standards. Your efforts will focus on compliance with new products, markets, and functions through Privacy analysis and General IT Compliance across our global operations.
Responsibilities:
- Review IT Standards compliance for Anika’s IT and assist with reviews at Operating Units.
- Review IT Compliance documentation, procedures, controls, and recommend improvements.
- Track issues and findings, facilitate discussions, and participate in resolution processes.
- Plan and support issue remediation related to Security risks, Regulatory, Data Protection, and User access.
- Implement compliance monitoring activities, report findings, and suggest training or controls to mitigate risks.
- Support privacy, security, document retention, and financial regulations (SOX404, GDPR, ISO 27K, NIST frameworks).
- Work with Cybersecurity team to identify information security risks.
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with regulatory and legal entities.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance security posture.
- Develop and communicate processes, procedures, and guidelines independently and with teams.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in IT, Security Services, Audit, or Risk Management.
- Experience developing controls and standards in SAP environments.
- Proven ability to apply compliance standards such as SOX, GDPR, and participate in audits.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (NIST, HIPAA, ISO, COBIT, OWASP, ITIL).
- Understanding of risk management, policies, analytics, and issue management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- CISA, CRISC, CISM certifications or similar.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and foster cross-departmental relationships.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
