Overview

IT Contract Specialist role at MetaSense Inc. This position supports the development, negotiation, renewal, maintenance, and compliance of IT contracts with established standard terms, conditions, and templates. Working in close collaboration with the IT Contracts Manager, various business stakeholders, IT leaders, and Legal counsel, this role is responsible for contract execution, assessing contractual performance, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, as well as supporting standard service levels and contract administration. The IT Contract Specialist ensures IT contracting and procurement activity is executed in accordance with facility policy. As a senior member of a specialist group, the IT Contract Specialist provides guidance and support to Contract Specialists and Junior Contract Specialists on System policies and departmental procedures.

Base pay range

$32.00/hr - $32.00/hr

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

• Supports the contract development and maintenance process and ensures consistent management of all IT contracts.
• Monitors and tracks upcoming contractual actions and deadlines.
• Supports the analysis and development of strategies for IT contract negotiations.
• Collaborates closely with various departments and IT leaders in the contract development process.
• Supports the development of standards for IT contracts, Key Performance Indicators, Service Level Agreements, and general language and provisions specific to information technology products and services.
• Ensures accuracy and appropriateness of IT contract text and attachments.
• Maintains deadlines on deliverables and communicates with business partners and internal stakeholders on IT contractual issues.
• Provides monthly and annual IT contractual activity reports and other metrics to the IT Contracts Manager and IT Leadership as requested.
• Provides advice and interpretation of IT contract requirements, obligations and risk exposure to IT leaders.
• Applies creativity and sound business reasoning to align IT contract terms to IT and business needs.
• Reviews, analyzes and negotiates IT contracts to ensure compliance with corporate policies and project requirements.
• Negotiates directly with suppliers throughout the preparation, evaluation and execution of IT contracts, often as the primary IT contact for the organization.
• Participates in audits of IT contracts.
• Works with Legal counsel to determine appropriate contract types to reduce company exposure to risk.
• Identifies and recommends process improvements related to IT contracting.
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with peers, stakeholders and suppliers.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or Supply Chain Management required.

Location and Schedule

Remote position, may need to come on site for meetings.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of contracts experience (reviewing, negotiation) must have.
• Knowledge of medical and technical acronyms.
• Love to have 5 years of contracts experience.
• Love to have experience with IT contracts.
• Experience with healthcare contracts; healthcare setting experience (clinics, hospitals, health insurance); must be local to SE MI.
• Role involves mapping contracts on applications used by facility and making necessary amendments and negotiations.
