IT Operations Specialist
The IT Operations Specialist plays a key role in managing the lifecycle of end-user hardware and software, ensuring employees have reliable, secure, and well-supported technology. This position focuses on endpoint provisioning, imaging, logistics, asset tracking, and procurement, while also providing systems administration and escalated technical support. The IT Operations Specialist ensures IT operations run smoothly and that equipment and services are delivered accurately and on time. This is a full-time in-office role that will be supporting a few offices in the Round Rock Area.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Endpoint Lifecycle & Logistics:
- Build, configure, and image laptops, desktops, and mobile devices for deployment.
- Experience creating and maintaining custom boot environments (e.g., WINPE) for device imaging and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving of IT hardware across multiple offices and remote employees.
- Track and manage all IT assets (computers, monitors, peripherals, phones, etc.) through their lifecycle.
- Ensure accurate hardware inventory records and conduct regular audits.
- Manage warranty, repair, and RMA processes with vendors.
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Work with vendors to source, purchase, and renew IT hardware, software, and licenses.
- Compare pricing, negotiate quotes, and track procurement budgets.
- Maintain documentation of vendor agreements, warranties, and service contracts.
- Partner with finance/procurement to ensure alignment with company purchasing policies.
Systems & Administration:
- Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint management platforms (e.g., NinjaOne, Intune).
- Provide printer and copier support, including troubleshooting and scan-to-email configuration.
- Perform user account management, license assignments, and access provisioning.
- Support endpoint patching, antivirus, and security compliance requirements.
- Assist with backups, server monitoring, and infrastructure support as needed.
- Provide basic networking support; Fortinet experience preferred.
Support & Operations:
- Provide escalated support for end-user issues (hardware, OS, applications, connectivity).
- Support onboarding and offboarding workflows to ensure smooth employee transitions.
- Maintain IT knowledge base and standard operating procedures for repeatable tasks.
- Participate in IT projects such as device refreshes, system upgrades, and office moves.
- Some travel necessary to support local offices as needed.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with other IT team members to support larger projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and maintain system warranties and licenses.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of IT experience with strong focus on endpoint lifecycle and logistics.
- Windows imaging tools and deployment platforms (Autopilot, Intune, NinjaOne, or similar).
- Microsoft 365 / Azure/On-Prem Active Directory administration.
- Asset tracking and IT inventory systems.
- Hardware troubleshooting and RMA/warranty processes.
- Shipping/receiving coordination (domestic and international preferred).
- Familiarity with networking basics (VPN, Wi-Fi, DNS/DHCP). (Fortinet experience preferred.)
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to collaborate with other team members and departments.
