The IT Specialist(s) will be responsible for a comprehensive range of IT functions to support the Department’s infrastructure. This includes Firewall Administration, Web Filter Administration, Server and Security Administration, Special Programs Support, Network Administration backup, and Workstation Support. A team of IT Specialists will collectively fulfill all duties listed below.

1. Firewall Administration

• Manage Fortinet Firewalls
• Configure roles and update policies
• Monitor firewall performance and logs

2. Web Filter Administration

• Administer FortiGate Web Filtering
• Conduct weekly audits and permission reviews
• Apply software updates and perform health checks

3. Server Administration

• Manage VMWare virtual environments
• Administer Veeam for backup and disaster recovery
• Oversee Dell Compellent/Powerstore storage systems
• Perform quarterly patching, role updates, and storage provisioning

4. Security Administration

• Maintain RADIUS and Active Directory services
• Facilitate background clearance for State Law Enforcement Radio System access
• Manage security access requests via Atlassian Jira
• Oversee D5-ITS/TSMO user base security

5. Special Programs Administration

Support and provide first-level troubleshooting for systems such as Activu, Road Ranger Mobile App, iVDS, SunGuide, BlueMac, MIMS, ITS Facility Management, SCCM / SCOM, and SolarWinds. Note: Any third-party or proprietary software added after contract implementation is considered in-scope.

6. Network Administration (Backup Role)

• Support Extreme Networks devices
• Perform basic troubleshooting and complete tasks during non-primary admin hours (typically Fridays, 8 AM – 5 PM)

7. Workstation Support

• Set up and maintain user hardware
• Provide user support and training
• Maintain inventory and a self-help wiki for end-users
