Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I), the incumbent provides technical and administrative services for the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) enterprise-level storage, backup, Storage Area Network (SAN), and cloud tenant implementations. The incumbent works independently as a high-level technical specialist on larger and more complex projects related to enterprise storage (block, object, and NAS), backup, and SAN solutions. The incumbent collaborates with other DOJ service areas and customers to analyze product specifications and technical requirements, participating in the development and implementation of enterprise storage, backup, and SAN infrastructure at DOJ. This includes installation, configuration, maintenance, problem resolution, and troubleshooting of infrastructure for DOJ. The incumbent supports the DOJ Cloud Infrastructure Support Team (CIST) in setting up, managing, and monitoring cloud tenants and storage for DOJ teams and customers as needed.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's experience, the following factors will be considered for competitive evaluation:
- Perform high-level technical tasks in the engineering and support of:
- Block and NAS enterprise storage (on-premise), backup (on-premise), and Fibre Channel SAN switches.
- Collaborate with DOJ teams to implement storage, backup, and SAN solutions for various projects.
- Manage, modify, install, test, and maintain all DOJ backup and SAN hardware and software.
- Implement data recovery solutions for 24x7 support of DOJ’s backup, SAN, and Disaster Recovery systems and plans.
- Manage, administer, provision, and configure SAN, backups, and storage infrastructure.
- Perform backups and restores.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Monitor and tune SAN, storage, and backup performance to meet DOJ standards.
- Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud tenant solutions.
- Provide technical consulting and assistance on DOJ projects.
- Document processes and generate reports.
- Maintain high-level skills on DOJ SAN infrastructure at headquarters, hub sites, and field offices.
- Possess high-level knowledge of O365/Microsoft Office, vSphere 7.0/8.0, TCP/IP, firewall rules, DMZ, Active Directory, and Windows Server 2022 administration.
