POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide computer service and support for classroom technology including desktops, laptops, iMacs, projectors, interactive projectors, large screen displays, and hybrid classroom environments. Maintains hardware, software, end user accounts, printers, Wi-Fi, and peripheral devices on the USM network for faculty, staff, and students at all campuses. Configures and issues laptops; assists with IT equipment inventory. Installs and supports audio/visual equipment beyond the classroom for university events. Cross trained/backup for ID Card, Security Cameras, and Door Access systems.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide customer service for the end user’s technology needs.
  • Assist Tier I in day-to-day job duties.
  • Manage our Mac systems utilizing JAMF.
  • Assemble and configure PC/MAC/Laptop hardware and software as necessary.
  • Move and install computer systems, access points and network drops as directed.
  • Install and support audio/visual equipment.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all office applications, Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Assist in the installation and management of software licenses.
  • Perform life cycle management, including the transfer of ownership/disposal of computers.
  • Exercise initiative in the support of customers.
  • Schedule, prioritize and accomplish projects and tasks in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform System Administration on and develops expertise on Transacts POS.
  • Rotational after-hours for On-Call support
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years related experience.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Information Technology Program, preferred.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft Office products.
  • A+ certification and familiarity with MACs desired.
  • Configures and administer assigned systems.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Affinity with the overall mission of the University of Saint Mary.
  • Project a positive, professional, customer focused image for the university.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Must pass required background screening as appropriate.
