Position: Local Dump Truck Driver (Gravel Hauling) – CDL Class A

Work Location: St. Joseph, MO (Local routes to Kansas City, MO)

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The driver will be responsible for hauling gravel and other construction materials primarily between St. Joseph and Kansas City, MO. This is a local driving position with minimal travel and a home daily schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operate a Class A CDL 2025 Peterbilt (automatic) dump truck safely and efficiently.
  2. Haul gravel and similar aggregate materials to and from local job sites.
  3. Load and unload materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
  4. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections for vehicle safety and maintenance.
  5. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance as per company and DOT regulations.
  6. Communicate effectively with site supervisors to ensure timely deliveries.
  7. Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies.

Qualifications

  1. Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
  2. At least 1 year of dump truck or heavy equipment hauling experience preferred.
  3. Knowledge of DOT regulations and local traffic laws.
  4. Ability to operate manual transmissions and hydraulic systems.
  5. Strong work ethic and reliability.
  6. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
