Overview

Caregiver role at Peaceful Pines Senior Living in Fort Pierre. Peaceful Pines - Fort Pierre is a senior living community that provides independent living, assisted living, and memory care services for area seniors.

As a Caregiver, you will assist residents with daily living tasks including eating, getting out of bed, bathing, and dressing. The ideal candidate has patience, kindness, empathy, and a positive work ethic. This is a part-time, non-exempt role reporting to the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to residents and support their well-being and safety.
• Promote and support a positive work environment focused on teamwork.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ personal and health information.
• Respond promptly to pendant systems/call lights to assist residents.
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, walking, transferring, recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
• Document outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, and activity.
• Communicate changes in health conditions, medication follow-up, and care-related concerns to the nursing leadership team.
• Prepare dining areas for meals, serve meals, and clean dining areas after meals.
• Perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for infection control.

Qualifications

Candidates must be dependable, have a positive attitude, and be a team player with a passion for working with seniors and/or caring for others.

Must be able to pass a background check.
