Smokey Point Family Dentistry is hiring: Dental Assistant in Arlington

We are looking for a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Smokey Point Family Dentistry! We’re committed to providing modern, conservative care to all our patients, while making them feel like they’re right at home. Our team makes our patients feel confident in their smiles while creating lasting, meaningful relationships along the way.

Location: Arlington, WA 98223

Compensation: $28-$30/hour

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm

Job responsibilities/duties:

• Ensure patients' comfort during procedures
• Preparing operatories for treatment
• Sterilizing instruments
• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry technique
• Take x-rays and intraoral photos
• Develop treatment plans based on the doctor’s diagnosis
• Schedule patients
• Provide patient education and post-operative instructions
• Perform dental charting and coding
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
• Perform lab duties such as pouring models, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns
• Handle administrative tasks like answering phones, calling labs, and patient follow-ups
• Stock supplies and maintain equipment
• Accurately document and maintain Patient Health Information
• Collaborate with team members
• Order supplies and manage budgets
• Place temporary and permanent restorations in teeth and shape to proper contour

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• Radiology Certification required
• School Sealant Program completion
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• Proficiency in dental management software such as Open Dental or Dentrix
• Knowledge of prosthodontics for restorations
• Experience with Clear Aligners like Invisalign is a plus
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail
